Kimberley Tompkins, Psy.D.

Dr. Tompkins received her doctoral degree (Psy.D.) from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium. She completed both her residency and fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland, where she also served as the department’s Chief Resident.

Dr. Tompkins has specialized in pediatric anxiety and mood disorders (both in community and hospital populations) and has implemented extensive research on the impact of childhood anxiety on parenting practices and attitudes.

Laura Cayan, Psy.D.

California Psychologist License No: PSY 24384

Dr. Cayan received her doctoral degree (Psy.D.) from the Wright Institute, Berkeley, CA. She completed her residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center Hospital, Bronx, NY and her fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital and Research Center, Oakland, CA.

Dr. Cayan has implemented extensive research on cardiac-related complications, including the psychological impact of myopathies and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy on an individual and family, coping with chronic illness, the relationship between medical adversity and reactivity to stress, and the impact of trauma.
